A woman has been charged with the acid attack, she threw acid on four young U.S. women in the French city of Marseille on Sunday, according to the prosecutor.
A spokeswoman for the Marseille prosecutor’s office told The Associated Press on a phone call, the acid attack incident took place at the main Saint Charles train station of the city in which two victims got injuries on the face while one of them is facing eye injury.
According to the spokeswoman, all four acid attack victims were taken to the hospital where they have been hospitalized, all the four tourist women are around 20. Two of them have been hospitalized for shock.
It was a sudden acid attack. The 41-year-old suspected woman did not give any hint before attacking the four American women, she did not even make any kind of threat before attacking. It is uncleared whether the acid attack was terror-related or not. However, there is no proof that the woman’s action was terror-related but the spokeswoman noted that authorities are not completely sure about it.
No further details of Victims and the suspected woman have been revealed, it is also uncleared that the victims belong to where in United State. The identities of the female suspect and all four U.S. women victims have not been revealed yet.
The authorities are investigating the case and are in the early stage of the investigation, the officers are working hard to find out the links between terror and the acid attack incident.
The Marseille fire department’s spokeswoman said that they received information about the incident after 11 AM and immediately dispatched four vehicles along with 14 firefighters to city’s main Saint Charles train station. The spokeswoman requested anonymity.
