Apple iPhone Grabbed 31% Of Smartphone Sales In The United States

The iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone 6s were made their position as the three most popular smartphones in the United States in the three month period which ends at November 2016, when people were purchasing the pre-holiday gifts for friends and family members. As stated by the information collected by Kantar Worldpanel, the three apple iPhones gathered a total 31.3 percent of smartphone sales in the U.S., while Samsung stated for 28.9 percent of smartphone sales during this three month period.

Ios grew 6.4 percent in the same month in U.S. which made it rise to 43.5 percent share in the market. Whereas, android dropped by 5.1 percent. But, still sits atop apple with a 55.3 percent share of the market. According to Kantar information, the data marks the sixth consecutive decline for the android in the U.S.

Ios made gains across most of the regions around the globe in the same period of September to November, as shown by the data information of Kantar world panel. Apple’s mobile operating system saw the huge year after year success in Great Britain, where it jumped 9.1 percent to achieve the point of 48.3 percent of the smartphone market in the country. Both iOS and android increased their presence across France, Germany, Spain, Italy and Great Britain ‘mostly because of the declining of windows’ according to Kantar.

In fact, there is a slight increase of 2.8 percent by Ios share market from the previous 3 month period, thanks to the launch of iPhone 7, which became the best selling device in urban China whereas local brands continue to dominate the market, and android accounts for 79.9 percent of smartphone market in the country in comparison to Apple’s 19.9 percent presence.

Despite of apple ios growth in places like Japan, Australia and event in the U.S., the recent reports says that Apple reportedly shipped 207 million iPhones in 2016, down from 236 million in 2015. But, many hope that the company can turn around from its own revenue downturn with a profitable 2017 and a major redesign for the iphone 8.
