Cristiano Ronaldo is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays for Spanish club Real Madrid& the Portugal national team. He is a forward & serves as a captain for the Portugal. In 2008, he won the first award for the two achievements. Cristiano Ronaldo has been crowned as the first ever world player of the year award on Monday at the best FIFA Football Awards. He was also named in the FIFpro team of the year. One of the world’s best player, Cristiano Ronaldo won everything with Manchester united before completing a world record.

“2016 was the best year of my career,” said by Ronaldo after being handed the prize from FIFA President Gianni Infantino. It was a year that was magnificent at the personal level as well as at the sports level, he added on the stage of the Zurich.

He beat the runner-up & great rival Lionel Messi & Antoine Griezmann to complete the sweep of top individual awards. In 2016 he won the number of awards such as European championship, Champions league, Club world cup, plus the individual best player award from FIFA, UEFA, & France Football magazine. Ronaldo had also won the Ballon d’Or after his third champions league title, thanks in major part to his 16 goals in 12 games.

The best FIFA awards were voted by the national team captain, manager &  journalists, & fans registered on Fifa.com from each 211 nations. Ronaldo earned 34.54 percent of total votes while Messi finished second with 26.42 percent of votes along with Griezmann was third with 7.53 percent of votes.

Football is not a  case of what’s left to win, it’s about carrying on feeling motivated & continue to train everyday & to deal with the bad moments positively, this is football, said by Cristiano Ronaldo in an interview.
