Hurricane Harvey aims to hit Texas, first major natural disaster challenge for Trump administration

Hurricane Harvey is supposed to come with more than 35 inches of heavy rain in the several areas. Flooding remains the main concern.

Hurricane Harvey which has become the major threats, the storm has swept towards the Texas on Friday.

The high-speed winds of the storm and heavy rain were expected to hit the inland and coastal communities. According to the National Weather Service, the Category 2 strengthened storm could make the landfall in Texas like Category 3 hurricane or higher Category hurricane, the hurricane will reach near Corpus Christi, Texas with around 111 miles per hour winds.

Harley is expected to reach Texas after making the landfall, the hurricane is supposed to come with more than 35 inches of heavy rain in the several areas. Flooding remains the main concern. Joe McComb, the mayor of Corpus Christi advising people to leave the voluntarily, McComb is encouraging evacuation.

In an update on Thursday, the National Hurricane Center said, “It is critical that users not focus on the exact forecast track of Harvey since cycle-to-cycle adjustment are likely.”

The update reads, “All locations within the hurricane and storm surge warning areas should be preparing for the possibility of major hurricane-force winds and life-threatening storm surge.”

However, it is impossible to project the areas of flooding and the ultimate goal of the Harvey is still uncertain. Louisiana and Texas’ government have declared emergencies. The governments’ of several counties have issued the evacuation orders.

It will be the first time in Trump’s presidency when the Trump administration has to face the big natural disaster. Hurricane Harvey will be the big challenge for the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
