Indian women’s cricket team (3-0 Win) Whitewashed Series against West Indies. Good News for every cricket over and especially for all female cricket lover because Team India women have won the third match against West Indies not only match but they whitewashed the series by winning all three games.  Women’s team was playing the home series against West Indies, and it all started well, in fact, ended too, yes India won all of three matches very  quickly.

India did batting first and scored little small, or we can say just settled to 199 for six. Where Veda Krishnamurthy hit a stroke full fifty, Krishnamurthy (71) and Harmanpreet Kaur (19) then shared 51 runs quick runs for the fourth wicket to give some momentum to Indian eves’ innings. Later West Indies was all out for 184 runs in last over 49.1 overs of the match, where left-arm spinner Rajeshwari Gayakwad returned with impressive figures of 4-34.

India vs West Indies match summary

Indian women: 199 for six in 50 overs (Veda Krishnamurthy 71; Chedean Nation 2/21). West Indies women: 184 all out in 49.1 overs (Kycia Knight 55, Hayley Matthews 44; Rajeshwari Gayakwad 4/34).

Indian batsmen found it tough to score at a ground and lost first three at 52 in just 20 overs, but later Krishnamurthy and Harmanpreet kaur did excellent batting and put some runs on Scoreboard. Even Opener Deepti Sharma also scored 23 runs.

Krishnamurthy was the star player for match scoring 50 runs quickly with the help of 10 boundaries in just 79 balls. Also, Debutant Devika Vaidya remained unbeaten on 32 off 45 balls, while senior pro-Jhulan Goswami made a 16-ball 18.

West Indies started chasing runs very decently but unfortunately lost three wickets as run out which is like breaking backbone. Kycia Knight (55) top-scored for the visitors followed by notable contributions from Hayley Matthews (44) and wicket-keeper Merissa Aguilleira (22).

And also then comes the storm of spinner Rajeshwari who single-handedly took four wickets. The series is part of the ICC women’s championship and, thus, the 3-0 series whitewash gave Indian women two points. Stay Tuned for more updates 🙂
