Teacher assaulted student after not standing during pledge of Allegiance

A teacher has been accused of assaulting a six grader student who did not stand for the Pledge of Allegiance as he believed to deliver his allegiance to his family and the creator of the world, God. The boy does not believe in pledging to the flag.

A  sixth grader’s activity at East Middle School in Farmington Hills, Michigan has now become the big controversy as his teacher notices his civil disobedience and forced him to stand for the Pledge of Allegiance against his own will.

Stone Chaney who was forced to stand for  pledging to a flag by his teacher told NBC affiliate WDIV, “The teacher consultant comes up behind me and snatches me out of my chair violently.” He added, “I was so confused. I didn’t know what was going on.”

The authorities are investigating the case, the teacher to “violently” tired to make Chaney stand during the Pledge of Allegiance was put on leave. As per the reports, when Chaney refused to stand the teacher even got physical with him.

According to the child, the teacher behaved with him violently and snatched him out of his chair. He said that homeroom teacher forced him to stand for the Pledge of Allegiance.

On Friday, Chaney told The Washington Post, “When you put your hands on kids and force your own way of thinking, that’s not right.”

Brian Chaney said, his 11-year-old son was forced to stand for the Pledge of Allegiance by a teacher consultant at East Middle School last week. According to Brian, the teacher’s action is a violation of the civil right of his son. He said, saluting the American flag is Stone’s personal decision and this had not been a problem.

On the next day i.e. September 8, Stone’s father Brian Chaney said that the teacher consultant also “berated” his son for not standing during the pledge.
