Three Newark airport customs officers arrested and charged with sexual abuse using “rape table”

The customs officers were arrested on Wednesdays with two counts for sexually abusing co-workers and for alleged attacks on two male victims.

Three Newark airport Customs and Border Protection officers have been charged with sexual abuse using “rape table” probe. The guilty custom officers tried to sexually abuse their fellow agents in a conference room at Newark Liberty International Airport.

The incident would take place in Terminal C’s conference room on the second floor. In May, the victims had alleged that several armed Newark airport Customs and Border Protection officers throw their fellow agents on a so called “rape table” which is actually a conference table, the victims had alleged that U.S. customs officers grabbed them under their arms that were completely against their will.

The customs officers were arrested on Wednesdays with two counts for sexually abusing co-workers and for alleged attacks on two male victims. 38-year-old Tito Catota from Newark, 40-year-old Parmenio I. Perez from Paterson and 32-year-old Michael A. Papagni from West Orange have been arrested.

The customs officers were handed over to Passenger Enforcement Rover Team of CBP.The team is responsible for the potential terrorists and smugglers.

According to the allegation by one victim, the victim was only worked with the team for only two weeks when he got to know that the conference table had been used as “rape table,” officer Papagni told him that. Papagni then cleared “what this team is about.” William Fitzpatrick the Acting U.S. Attorney said, “This behavior would be abhorrent in any environment, especially one serving a critical law enforcement function.”

According to the complaint, the other two officers held the victim down, “Perez got on top of Victim One’s mid-section and began to grind his body up and down against Victim One’s genitals through Victim One’s clothing in a motion that simulated a sex act.”

William Fitzpatrick the Acting U.S. Attorney said, “This behavior would be abhorrent in any environment, especially one serving a critical law enforcement function.”

“The hard working men and women who protect our borders deserve better,” said Fitzpatrick.
