Future iPhones To Feature LCD Panels Made Of Plastic
As per the International Business Times, the company Apple and also its alleged partner, Japan Display Inc, is working on the collaboration for the future and upcoming iPhones. The Japanese display provider is said to be having made all the preparations and mentioned necessary details in order for the iPhones with plastic LCD panels to be no more reel but real.
In this week only the Japanese partner gave a hint about what and how the future Apple products would be looking like. The company also admitted that Apple would be having a major production of plastic LCD panels rather than the usual glass.
On the other hand, Japan Display COO – Shuji Aruga reiterated that the LCD panels made of plastic could not be that flexible when compared to the OLED ones. Though it was said that the decision made in changing the material is most importantly due to the flexibility and the affordability that it could get compared to the usual handsets manufactured by Apple Company.
This innovation of display is capable enough to bend and create screens which are quite similar to the Samsung’s Galaxy Edge.
It is also believed that the screen provider is targeting to partner with the manufacturers of computers, laptops, and also cars. In fact, Huawei Technologies Co. is one of its clients already but details regarding its production are still kept secret. These new innovative plastic LCD panels for the iPhones are expected to be released in the year of 2018.
