LG has sent an invitation to its upcoming event launch on October 3, and there is no secret to what is coming. The LG V40 ThinQ is all set to be announced on October 3. However, there have been no such details released by the company about the phone, but the invite says, “Take 5” that suggests that the V40 will come with five cameras as it was reported earlier.
The five cameras featured mobile phone that LG is set to launch three cameras at the back and 2 for a secondary selfie. While it might seem that LG is just following the trend of adding as much of cameras, it is worth noting that the company was the first to come up with a multi-camera setup back in 2015 with LG V10.
The smartphone was the first that uses two selfie cameras before it decided that the company has put efforts on the rear camera are way better than the front ones. LG has since only used one front-facing camera, but it seems that it is now returning to its roots. It has not been updated that how LG is going to implement its cameras. The company has paired a normal wide-angle camera with a panoramic ultra-wide-angle. This setup remains fairly unique in the industry, so if LG keeps the ultra-wide and normal angles, it will have to add a telephoto lens to compete with other leading Smartphone brands in the market.
A second camera on the front can make for better depth detection on portrait mode selfies, or it could enhance the cameras wide-angle capabilities. But then, LG surprises with its excellent cameras as it has been lagging behind for some time now. It won’t take the company much time to find out more exciting features to hit back on track again.
