After giving a stunning performance of the movie in its previous week, now the period war drama is all set to enter in its third week with a positive note. According to the latest reports from BOI, the movie received a fly start at the box office with a box office collection of Rs. 21 crores and has got supported with its extended weekend, the movie has garnered a box office collection of Rs. 78.25 crores in its first weekend. Kesari maintained its steady momentum in the complete week and earned Rs. 105.86 crores which are highly impressive.

The movie is performing significantly well even in its second week and grabbed a box office collection of Rs. 29.62 crores. Now the movie is standing strong with a box office collection of Rs. 143 crores and running after the benchmark of Rs. 150 crores. Kesari becomes the second biggest Bollywood opening of Akshay Kumar after Gold had received an opening of Rs. 25.25 crores. The movie was released on 21 April on the special holiday of Holi and giving a stunning performance. Anurag Singh directorial and produced by Karan Johar under the production banner of Dharma Production. Kesari casts Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra in the leading performance.

battle of Saragarhi in which 21 soldiers of the 36th Sikhs of the
British Indian Army fought against 10,000 to 12,000 Afghan tribesman and sacrifice himself in the battle but failed the intentions of Afghans of conquering the forts.
