The Audi A4 2019 is a very special small extravagance car. The A4 has a comfortable and advanced, high-performance framework. It can operate readily with its smart infotainment system, and all models come with fundamental technology and safety features. Thanks to its pleasant driving atmosphere, the A4 comes alive on the highway. It’s easy to go over rough roads, but it’s versatile and enjoyable on twisted roads. With its powerful turbocharged engine selection, this Audi also provides an outstanding fuel economy.

Competition: Audi A4 vs BMW 3 Series

The BMW 3 Series is a well-balanced luxury sports sedan. It provides a robust range of engines, interesting handling, and a beautiful interior and big seats. In 2019, the sedan was redesigned to be used in hatchback and car body styles. The BMW Sedan has a storage space comparable to that of the Audi, but its other types have more space. On the other hand, the Audi has more standard safety and infotainment features. These are both great cars, after all, it’s a matter of preference.

Mercedes-Benz-C Class or Audi A4

Another Audi A4 competitor is a lovely small luxury car, the Mercedes-Benz C-Class. For the year 2019, the C-Class is reinforced by a variety of powerful motors for smart riding as a stylish car. It even challenges the Audi Virtual Cockpit with its own 12.3-inch digital display instead of the traditional gauge cabinet. In a variety of types, Mercedes-Benz delivers C-class sedan, convertible, and coupe. The A4 is sharper in handling than the C-Class and larger regardless of body type. In addition, the basic cost of A4 is approximately $2,200 less than the basic cost of the C-Class. These are both great cars, but the Audi has a little benefit in this respect.

Audi A4 Interior

How many A4 seats are there?

The Audi A4 has a total of five seats. Leather upholstery is standard and the front seats heated by eight can be adjusted. There are additional front seats and supports accessible, as well as ventilated front seats, front massage seats, heated back seats and a heated steering wheel.

Standard leather polishing is nice for this price point, as many competitors are standard with synthetic leather and offer upgrades for real leather. Front seats–particularly upgraded sports seats–are very comfortable and suitable for long journeys. The back seats have enough head and legroom for two adults to sit down comfortably.

The A4 has two full sets of LATCH child-seat links on the rear outboard seats and a third anchor on the rear center seat. The LATCH system is easily ranked Good (highest rating) by the Highway Safety Institute.

A4 Interior Quality

Audi is luxurious, with high-quality materials, wood accents, and soft-touch surfaces.

A4 Cargo Space

A4 has 13 cubic feet of trunk space. This is the typical amount of a small luxury car.

Navigation, Bluetooth, and Infotainment

A4 features in this luxury sedan include a 7-inch display, MMI infotainment, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, two USB ports, and Bluetooth. A larger 8.3-inch hand-written display is provided, as is the Audi Virtual Cockpit, a 12.3-inch screen that replaces the traditional gages in the instrument cluster. Other technological upgrades include an HD radio, a satellite radio, a navigation system and a premium stereo system with 19 speakers.

The Audi Virtual Cockpit is commended for its comfort. This information can be customized to display a variety of things (including navigation map, music, and telephone information and traditional gage rendering) in the driver’s close eye. Standard infotainment works well, and standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are popular with smartphone users. Handwriting recognition works on the center console with a touch-sensitive pad on the top of the control wheel of the MMI.

Audi A4 Performance

A4 Engine Capable Turbo

The Audi A4 powertrain consists of a7-speed automatic and a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 188 hours of front-wheel power and 248 hours of all-wheel power. The Audi S4 power set has an automatic eight-speed transmission coupled to a 3.0-liter turbo V6 engine with a 349-horsepower rating and a 369-pound torque.

The A4 is a great daily commuter, and the turbo four provides a sufficient boost to make your way down the highway. The V6 in the S4 kicks things up, you might expect that. It has an amazing acceleration time of 4.4 seconds from 0 to 60 mph.

A4 Gas Mileage: A+

This luxury sedan earns 27 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway, as estimated by the EPA. AWD models are losing 4 mpg in the city, and the sporty S4 is earning 21/30 mpg estimates. The A4, with or without Audi’s Quattro all-wheel-drive system, delivers stellar fuel economy estimates for the class, saving you money on the pump compared to rivals like the Cadillac ATS. A4 Ride and Handling Sporty and composed playful handling, this Audi makes one of the most agile small luxury cars you can buy. Whether you’re cornering or cruising, the A4 is comfortable with its passengers. It’s steering, however, feels a bit numb. The front-wheel-drive is standard and the Audi Quattro’s all-wheel drive is optional.

Audi A4 Safety

A4 Crash Test Results was awarded a 5-star overall rating by the National Highway Safety Administration, with 5 stars in side crash tests and 4 stars in frontal crash tests. The Highway Safety Institute has named it a Top Safety Pick that gives it the highest Good rating in all areas tested.

Each A4 sedan has a rearview camera as well as an automated emergency braking device, forward collision alert, and pedestrian detection, including Audi Pre Sense City and Audi Pre Sense Basic. Front and rear parking sensors are available, such as lane change support, automatic high beams, blind-spot monitoring, rear traffic cross-alert, lane departure alert, lane maintenance aid, adaptive cruises, road signs and a car park camera with a surround-view.

Audi A4 Price

The starting price for the Audi A4 is $39,200. This is a very good value, given the long list of the car’s standard features. The high-performance model of the S4 has a $50,200 MSRP.

Altogether, the A4 is one of the cheapest Audi vehicles available. Only the Audi A3 and the Audi Q3 SUVs cost $33,300 or $34,700 less. The prices for the Audi A5 and Audi A6 are higher at $44,200 and $54,100 respectively.

Final Verdict

The 2019 Audi A4 is a fantastic vehicle that combines sportiness and comfort with ample interior luxury. The technology interface is easy to use and the list of standard features overshadows many of the class competitors. The A4 is of great value in the luxury class of small cars.
