Dragon Ball & One-Punch Man Creators Official Updates News


Dragon Ball is a Japanese manga series which is created by Akira Toriyama. Dragon Ball was initially inspired by the classical Chinese Novel “Journey to the West”. The series follows the adventure of the protagonist, Son Goku, from the period of his childhood to adulthood as he was trains in martial arts & also explores the world in search of the seven orbs which is known as the Dragon Ball.

On the other hand, “One-Punch Man” is an ongoing Japanese superhero web comic which is created by an author & the series quickly went viral by super passing the 7.9 million hits in June 2012.

The creators of the popular manga & anime series i.e. “Dragon Ball” & “One-Punch Man” has started their logics on their individual projects. Both the Akira Toriyama & Yusuke Murata started revealing about their thoughts on their personal projects that how the “Dragon Ball” started out & secondly, how he was inspired to draw & ultimately create “One-Punch Man”.

Akira Toriyama planned Gohan as the main protagonist who is the fictional character in the Dragon Ball Manga series. But, anyhow he realized that he wouldn’t work out. He replied to this statement by saying that Gohan, compared to Goku, was ultimately not matched to become the hero of the “Dragon Ball” series. Though, Goku became the hero, still Akira Toriyama admitted that his favourite character is Piccolo.

Since 1984, Akira Toriyama has been working on “Dragon ball” & yes, he is idolized by other manga creators too. Yusuke Murata, who is the creator of the “One-Punch Man” has been making drawing since 1990’s but, he too revealed that he looked up to Toriyama as well.

According to Murata, Akira Toriyama was the first person that influenced him to get into the drawings. And, he also further revealed that he looked up to Toriyama so much, that he wished to have the same drawing skills as him.
