From a long time, it was the talk of the town that foldable phones will come in the market or not. It was just an imagination, which the super tech giant has brought to reality by showcasing the most awaited Galaxy Fold. Huawei who is also doing good in the market has been working on Huawei Mate X which is also looking incredible and mind-blowing. Samsung in its event gave only 15 minutes to explain and show the concept videos of Galaxy Fold, but media was not given the time to test the device as the spokesperson says that there is a lot to work on the device.
But Samsung will be completing this project until April. Huawei is also in the race. Xiaomi’s concept video of foldable phones has been limited to the concept only until now. There is fierce competition in the market now, and everyone is trying to win this race desperately. However, it is difficult to say that even if the phones are launched, then it can become hard to sell as the price is exceptionally higher. These phones might cost you around $2000.
Neil Shah who is the analyst at Counterpoint Research said, “There will be initial skepticism over foldable form-factor smartphones in terms of pricing, pocketability, and usability.” We cannot say that these phones will be sold in the market or not as no one has ever thought to buy a $1000 phone earlier. Samsung Galaxy Fold was the lead product of the event, and they just gave a teaser of how the phone will look like, and they are also planning a big event on April 26 where they will be officially launching the product. There will be a lot in the upcoming time, and it will be interesting to see who will finish this race first.
