Are you facing a problem of slowing down of your internet connection? If you are owning a Google Home for the Chromecast device then they cloud be blamed for it. Earlier it was observed that the issue was happening with the people who own a Google Home Max and TP-Link Archer c& router. But later some new reports proved that the other devices by both the companies are also included in this. Along with this routers from some other brands like Asus, Linksys, Netgear, and Synology.TG
As according to the TP-Link the issue arrived from the line of Google Cast Products. The cast feature generally sends some packets of information after a fixed interval of time to make the connective live with the products like Google Home. But when a device awakes from a sleeping mode, it sometimes sends a Burt of information at once, which overwhelm a router. Clearly the more a Cast device is in sleep mode the more collective information it will send after getting awaked.
According to the engineer, the information packet can even exceed the count of 100,000 packets, a number that can eventually cause some of the router’s primary features to shut down and that includes wireless connectivity too.
The actual fault with the TP-Link Archer C7 model has been traced and a fix is still awaited from Google’s end. Google told 9to5Google that they are “working quickly to share a solution”, but as of now, the one needs to reboot his router if they encounter the same problem. And one must disconnect all his Cast devices altogether if not in use.
