The legal team of Christine Blasey Ford has now asked the Senate Judiciary Committee to agree on the conditions that they have put in front of them. These conditions are put forward before she sits down for the potential interview which will be over the accusation that Supreme court nominee Brett Kavanaugh has sexually assaulted her which is decades ago.
The terms that her team has put are only the members of the committee with no lawyers can question her. Kavanaugh will not be present in the room at the time the interview was done. Kavanaugh should get questioned first before he has got the opportunity to hear about Ford’s testimony.
The requests that are mentioned seem to be negotiable, but it is capped with a whirlwind day in which we have seen many back and forth statements. The lawyers of the Ford has said to the Senate Judiciary that the Committee was open for testifying her in the coming week. It is apparently like the backing off her bid which is said to be for the FBI who will first launch a new inquiry into the allegations that she had made.
The attorneys had said that it was not possible for Ford to testify at the hearing as it was scheduled on Monday by the Senate Republicans. It is without explaining the reiterated that she had a strong preference for the FBI probe which is said to be beforehand.
As per an email that was sent by the attorney Debra Katz to the committee members, in which Ford has said to have appeared as long as the senators can provide the terms that are said to be fair as well as they ensure the safety. Till now it was not cleared that whether Senate Republicans will agree to this request or not.
