Kardashian-Jenner sisters, Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian West have put the release of their latest fragrance on hold. Kylie and Kim’s perfume was scheduled to launch next Friday, but Kim has recently announced a change in the plan. The 38-year-old KKW Beauty founder took to Twitter on Wednesday and told her fans that the new perfume would not be launched on next Friday. Kim shared that there is a delay in the launch of a new fragrance due to issue in durability in perfume bottles.
Kim wrote in the statement, “We are so excited to launch our fragrance collaboration that we’ve been working on for such a long time. Sadly, we found out today from the manufacturer that a few of our bottles did not pass durability tests while on the assembly line and we have paused production while the team explores the issue further.”
“Together, we have made the difficult decision to delay the launch as we would never release a product that did not meet the strictest of quality guidelines,” the statement reads. “We’ll be sure to let you know as soon as we have a new launch date! Thank you for your understanding and support always. Love, Kim & Kylie.”
The mother of three, who is currently expecting her fourth child with her rapper husband Kanye West via surrogacy, has been gushing over the release of her and Kylie’s perfume over the past few weeks on social media. The much-anticipated lip-shaped perfumes will include red lotus blossoms, peony, and liquid amber. The new fragrance will be available for $40.
For those who are not aware, Kim recently opened a new cancer center at UCLA on Tuesday. The new cancer center is named after Kim’s late dad, Robert Kardashian. The reality TV star is also studying law as she will take the law exam in 2022.
