Chicago West will be getting a middle name real soon. Kim Kardashian West recently revealed in a ‘FACTS’ video put up on Monday on her website/app that she plans on adding a middle name to her six-month-old daughter Chicago.
The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star said, “I love the name, Noel.” Kim, who also shares who also shares daughter North, 5, and son Saint, 2½, with her husband Kanye West, added, “Kanye does not. So I unofficially Instagrammed ‘Chi Noel’ and I was like, ‘I’m doing this because I want her middle name to be Noel.’ ”
Kim, 37 further said, “I’m going to add [a middle name]. I haven’t been into middle names, but I wanted a name that was short — a one-syllable name. Noel is my middle name, and it’s not a one-syllable name, but it’s short.”
The reality star, “Chicago just looks long to me and doesn’t flow, so I call her Chi. That’s it. She can decide later if she wants to be called Chicago or Chi. But she’s so girly. When she first came out, I was like, ‘What do we name her?’ It was the hardest decision ever, and I could not think of a name.”
Kim also opened up about the other name options the husband and wife had in mind. The couple was going to initially name her Jo, in honor of Kim’s grandmother, Mary Jo, ‘MJ’ or Rei, in honor of Kanye’s father, Ray West but then the reality star said that her baby girl does not look like either of the names.
Notably, Kim and Kanye welcomed their princess Chicago in January of this year through a surrogate. Since the time the little member was welcomed in the ‘West’ family, Kim has never left a chance to show the mother-daughter bond between the two in the recent months.
