The only Indian team ‘Team Indus’ is going to represent the nation at the worldwide platform of Google Lunar XPRIZE competition. The competition had taken place in the US. Team Indus Axiom Research Lab Pvt. Ltd., a Bengaluru-based company has finally placed itself in the top 5 competitors where they are going to compete on a unique project which will eventually help in discovering moon and other planet disciplinaries from an another way.
Team Indus In Google Lunar XPRIZE Finale Team
As the competition is going to began on 28th June 2017 where young enthusiasts persons can participate from the age of 14 to 25 but only after submitting the details of their project and it should be convincing enough to get a place in the list of the team at the Global competition. A drone created at the minimal cost which is almost about 200 crores INR, help it to land and to travel at least 500 meters of the outer space and moon landscape subsequently transmitting back high definition image and videos from the space.
Team Indus making its position in the finale is a great achievement in itself as its now looking forward to compete with SpaceIL from Israel, Moon Express from the USA, Hakuto from Japan and Synergy Moon International as well. Moreover, Japan and India have signed a commercial which features a rover to carry out the missions.
As per the rules and the norms of the competition, all the teams have to work under the given deadline of 31 December 2016 and they need to have the verified launch contract in hands. But before anyone perceives anything, Team Indus had already got their contract from the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) leading with a tremendous performance and winning by making their position in top 5, Bengaluru base startup’s main aim is to achieve the win at any cost.
Ms Sheelika Ravishankar stated that team Indus was extremely happy to make the nation proud and signing a contract with Japan’s Hakuto will going to be a great joint effort thus making it more interesting than ever.
