NASA Brief The Press Regarding The Opening  Of The ISS For Tourist

NASA has recently conveyed their plans of sending people to the International Space Station from the next year. NASA is being clever this time as they have to reach the Moon again by 2024 as per the orders by the President of the United States. Due to fund cuts by the Congress NASA is struggling to initiate their Moon project. So, NASA decided to open up the doors of the International Space Station and all you have to do is to pay 50 million dollars to grab the golden chance to reach the ISS and experience the universe from up there.

NASA has decided that they are going to organize only 2 missions in a single year and each mission will have only 2 astronauts in it. The time span that the visitors will receive is going to be 30 days. As per the information so far, NASA has opened the ISS for the wealthy people as well the business ventures. NASA chief financial officer Jeff DeWit said in an announcement at the Nasdaq stock exchange in New York, “NASA is opening the International Space Station to commercial opportunities and marketing these opportunities as we’ve never done before.” For every night that will be spent on ISS, NASA will be costing $35,000 from the astronauts. The agency’s ultimate goal in low-Earth orbit is to partner with industry to achieve a strong ecosystem in which NASA is one of many customers purchasing services and capabilities at a lower cost,” NASA explained in a press release. “NASA’s plan addresses both the supply-side and demand-side for a new economy, enabling use of government resources for commercial activities, creating the opportunity for private astronaut missions to the space station, enabling commercial destinations in low-Earth orbit, identifying and pursuing activities that foster new and emerging markets, and quantifying NASA’s long-term demand for activities in low-Earth orbit.”
