A large number of the population loves coffee and to be honest, coffee is like an elixir to some people as it gives an instant rush of energy to the body. There are people who even consume 25 cups of coffee in a day. previous studies have shown that coffee may cause effects like stiffening of arteries which can put enough pressure on the heart which can cause stroke and even a heart attack. But here comes the good news as the recent studies have shown that drinking five coffees in a day has no effect on the arteries as it was same as the person who does not intake even a single cup of coffee. The study was funded in part by the British Heart Foundation, as they studied 8,000 Britishers and when the results came out it showed that even when people were drinking 25 cups of coffee had no effects on their arteries as it was just equivalent to the people who didn’t drink even a single cup of coffee. The study which was conducted by the scientists at the Queen Mary University of London was presented at the British Cardiovascular Society conference, Kenneth Fung, who led the data analysis at the Queen Mary University of London, told CNN, “What we found was that drinking more than three cups of coffee a day did not significantly increase the stiffness of blood vessels compared to people who drink one cup or less a day. The main message for people to take away from this is that coffee can be enjoyed as part of a healthy lifestyle, and coffee lovers can be reassured by this result in terms of blood vessel stiffness outcomes.” The highest consumption of the coffee was 25 cups a day but most of the people had coffee at an average of 5 cups a day.
