Powerball $758.7 million jackpot winning ticket sold in Massachusetts


One of the most popular lotteries of the nation Powerball is creating so much buzz. According to the officials, one of winning jackpot ticket has been sold for the gigantic  $758.7 million jackpot, the ticket has been sold in Massachusetts. Everyone has a bull eye on the Powerball as the prize is considering as the second biggest Powerball jackpot prize in the history of United State.

The $758.7 million jackpot prize is the biggest great grand prize won by the single lottery ticket in the nation’s history, according to the Powerball Product Group Chairman Charlie McIntyre.

6-7-16-23-26 with the Power Play of 4 and Powerball of 4 are the winning numbers of Powerball Lottery Jackpot for Wednesday night’s drawing. In his statement at early Thursday, Charlie McIntyre said that the other six tickets won the prize of $2 million apiece, he added 34 more tickets are for $1 million each.

There were around $2 million winners in the several cities and states that are as following: Connecticut, Illinois, Louisiana, Pennsylvania and the U.S. Virgin Islands, the official website of Powerball revealed. In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, North Carolina, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas and Virginia there were total $1 million Powerball lottery winners.

The second greatest Powerball jackpot of $758.7 million winner will get $480.5 million with minus taxes if the winner chooses the cash payout option. The winning amount will be paid over 29-years and there will be 30 installments that will be increased by 5% per year.

The cash payout option seems like the better option as the person could invest the jackpot prize that will give the great return as compared to the annuity payment. Only the 1 lucky winner will win the Powerball Jackpot in total 292.2 million people.
