Prince George, 4, played a sheep in school nativity play, Prince William says

The Royal couple kicked off their Christmas celebration by enjoying 4-year-old Prince George’s performance in his school’s nativity play, Prince William said.

According to George’s father The Duke of Cambridge, his son Prince George played a role a surprising role in the play at St. Thomas’s Battersea School in London.

“I went to my boy’s nativity play. It was funny,” William said. “He was a sheep.”

The 35-year-old William delivered George’s Christmas list to Santa Clause last week when the couple was on a Helsinki, Finland tour, in which he mentioned a police car.

William said to Santa, “I’ve seen you and I had to give you this letter.” He said that Prince George is a nice boy, “He hasn’t written down many requests, so I think one request is probably OK.”

During a visit to Manchester today with wife Princess Kate, William revealed Prince George’s role in the nativity play. William and Kate spoke to teenagers at the Children’s Global Media Summit about mental health challenges.

The 35-year-old gave a motivational speech and encouraged the teenagers to open up and ask for help, she said, “People are so worried about what they say, they aren’t saying anything at all, and what we’ve found from speaking to people is it’s so good to have conversations.”

The co-founder of the Heads Together campaign, William spoke about the rising acceptance of mental health issue.

He said, “Mental health used to be this scary word that people didn’t like talking about.” He added, “And it’s slowly getting better now.”

William and Kate later enjoyed a performance by kids, the royal couple took participation in a conversation on how digital media affecting young people.

When the Duke of Cambridge was in Manchester, he also met with his cyberbullying task force member. The leading tech companies are associated with the task force which launched a first-of-its-kind online code of conduct with a goal to create a safer online space for children.

In his speech, Willian said, “We have put the most powerful information technology in human history into the hands of our children – yet we do not yet understand its impact on adults, let alone the very young.”

He added, “And let me tell you parents are feeling the pressure. We need guidance and support to help us through some serious challenges.”

The Royal couple, William and Kate attended the annual white-tie diplomatic reception on Tuesday night at Buckingham Palace.
