The US will recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital as announced by Donald Trump in his speech on Wednesday. This city is the sacred to Christians, Jews, and Muslims – three monotheistic religions. In 70 years, he became the first president who recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel but the change in his pronunciation appeared making the situation worse at the end of the conference.
While some viewers noticed Donald Trump slurs in his speech and said that the president is suffering from a medical problem. An official at White House told CNN that Donald Trump was perfectly healthy and said that, “He’s been working in meetings all day and in fact is still here working now.” While Raj Shah, deputy press secretary told The Los Angeles Times that Trump slurred his speech because his throat was dry and there is nothing to it.
Dr. Sanjay Gupta, CNN Chief Medical Correspondent, after watching the video said that there are some abnormalities of his speech and one can call it difficulty in forming the words. He further told, “I noticed that he clears his mouth after finishing speaking, so whether that was a dry mouth or a misplaced dental issue is unclear, but given everything else, that is a much more likely cause of that.”
Michael de Riesthal, speech pathologist at Vanderbilt University Medical Center told that the president has been working hard to speak or he has been having denture fall or some other alternative explanation. He said that this distortion occurred in his articulation is unknown in etiology and is probably noticed when Trump said: “United States”.
In the video, Trump was seen adjusting his words a number of times from about four minutes but his addressing completed without having any divergence from his speech. The word slurred in the speech is dysarthria when the muscles weaken when one use to speak and have a hard time while controlling their use.
