Twitter employee shuts down President Donald Trump’s account for 11 minutes

A Twitter employee shuts off the Twitter account of US President Donald Trump for around 11 minutes which turned a global news and is now trending in the news section.  A micro-blogging site confirmed that Donald Trump’s account was inactive on his last day at the office. Donald Trump’s twitter account @realdonaldtrump disappeared from the site near about at 7 p.m. and it was for 7 minutes of time span.

Twitter’s Government and Election team tweeted on the incident indicating that the whole act was done by a rogue employee. The tweet was “Earlier today @realdonaldtrump’s account was inadvertently deactivated due to human error by a Twitter employee.  “The account was down for 11 minutes and has since been restored. We are continuing to investigate and are taking steps to prevent this from happening again,” the team said.

“Through our investigation, we have learned that this was done by a Twitter customer support employee who did this on the employee’s last day. We are conducting a full internal review,” they added.

The deactivation of Twitter account @realdonaldtrump made a lot of mess over the Twitter. People started posting on this incident. Twitter user, Cabel Sasser, said the time during which “Trump’s twitter account went away” was “the happiest” of this year. Also according to The Verge, there were a bulk of calls for Twitter to ban trump over tweets.
