Recently the action series Warrior is premiered on Cinemax on April 5, 2019. The show is based on the great Martial Artists Bruce Lee’s original Concept. The series is created by Jonathan Topper and Justin Lin. The cast of the show is lead by Andrew Koji as Ah Sahm along with Olivia Cheng as Ah Toy, Jason Tobin as Young Jun, Dianne Doan as Mai Ling, Kieran Bew all are appearing in the pivotal roles. The show is produced by Justin Lin, Danielle Woodrow, and Shannon Lee under the production company of Tropper Ink Productions and Bruce Lee Entertainment.
The first season of Warrior has a total of 10 episodes follows the
story of Tong wars in the late 1800s in San Francisco, California. Ah, Sahm, a martial arts prodigy originating from China who immigrates to San Francisco and ends up becoming a hatchet man for the most powerful tong in Chinatown. The new episodes of the series have a stunning plot including forbidden love and plenty of Kung-fu actions. The series is adapted from the 1971s concept for a television series called The Warrior developed by Bruce Lee.
In 2015, Perfect Storm Entertainment and Bruce Lee’s daughter, Shannon Lee, announced that the series would be produced and would air on Cinemax alongside announced the Justin Lin as the director of the series. Inspired by Bruce Lee’s writings, explore the new-martial-arts drama set in the 19th century San Francisco’s Chinatown. The complete episodes of the show will be aired by 31st May 2019 only on Cinemax.
