According to a recent report, the U.S. President Donald Trump lied about receiving a $1 million off on his lady love Melania’s dazzling engagement band.
Trump told New York Times back in 2015 that the London-based Graff Diamonds retailer sold First Lady Melania Trump’s oversized engagement ring for $1 million.
Melania’s engagement ring which is generating buzz featuring a diamond that weighs over 10 carats.
Trump said at the time, “Only a fool would say, ‘No thank you, I want to pay a million dollars more for a diamond.'”
However, billionaire Laurence Graff, the chairman of Graff Diamonds refuted the discount, he told Forbes that the president received “no favors” when he purchased the beautiful diamond ring. The ring is reportedly retailed at $1.5 million.
Graff noted that it was “a pleasure to do business with” Trump. Another source knew about the engagement ring purchase revealed that Trump falsely boasted about getting a huge discount to the Times reporter. The source said of Trump, “He paid for (the ring) in full, and he paid immediately.”
No statement has been released by the White House on the matter yet, no statement has been released by the First Lady’s representative as well.
A second diamond ring got the First Lady in trouble! The second ring that Trump purchased for his wife Melania, Trump gifted it to his wife on their 10th wedding anniversary. The ring drew the attention of many when Melania posed for her White House photograph wearing the big diamond ring. After which she quickly came under the radar of critics and became a subject of criticism. Many critics claimed that the First Lady has disrespected working Americans by wearing the massive rock for the official photograph.
In addition, the second ring Trump presented to Melania on their 10th wedding anniversary reportedly worth the $3 million.
